FWARig consists of three computers, leogate.kf9ug.ampr.org,
gw.kf9ug.ampr.org, and kf9ug.ampr.org.
The leogate.kf9ug.ampr.org system is a computer that resides in Maplewood Plaza on the NE side of Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is a dual-Pentium-II computer with 2 550Mhz Pentium-IIIs running
the Linux Operating system RedHat 6.2. It also has 256Meg SDRAM, a 40G Harddrive, 2 serial ports, a 100-base-T and a 10-base-T ethernet card. System power is maintained through power outages via an APC 300W Uninterruptible Power Supply. The software package that provides the services of this part of FWARig is JNOS version 1.11d for Linux. This system maintains the full-service BBS, one VHF port, and one UHF port. Internet connectivity is
provided though 2 T-1 lines.
The gw.kf9ug.ampr.org system is second FWARig system which resides at my home. It is a 200Mhz computer running the Linux Operating system (Slackware version 2.0.28). It also has 64Meg RAM, 6G Harddrive, SVGA, 2 serial ports, and two 10-base-T ethernet cards. The software package that provides the services of the part of FWARig is JNOS version 1.11d for Linux. The system currently provides VHF and HF ports. Internet connectivity is provided through a DSL modem attached to a D-Link 713P Wireless Router/Gateway.
The kf9ug.ampr.org system is the original FWARig system which resides at my home. It is a 66Mhz computer running the Linux Operating system (Slackware version 2.0.28). It also has 24Meg RAM, 350M Harddrive, SVGA, 4 serial ports, and a 10-base-2 ethernet card. The software package that provides the services of the part of FWARig is JNOS version 1.11d for Linux. The system currently provides VHF and HF ports. Internet connectivity is provided using a DSL modem attached to a D-Link 713P Wireless Router/Gateway.
